This was the first book by this author that I've read but I will definitely be reading her previous book! The writing style was so easy to follow and become engrossed in. It felt like getting to know a new friend and I loved this aspect.

The story line was very clearly inspired by You've got mail and it was fantastic. This book tackled lots of important issues without being too overwhelming or obviously educational. We get to see the world through Hana's, a Muslim living in Canada, eyes. We see the Islamophobia that she faces and how she deals with it.
Hana's love for her family is very evident and makes us love her even more. Even if her methods are sometimes questionable, she will do anything to look after her family. Seeing her get to know Rashid and Kawkab Khala better throughout the book is lovely and makes us question how much we know about people that we know and what funny, inspiring or shameful stories are hidden.
