This is a modern love story following a young Muslim woman in Canada. Hana khan lives with her family, helping in the family restaurant while chasing he dream job in broadcasting.

I found this book a slow burner which turned to one I couldn’t put down. It covers a few topics, racism being one of them. The storyline was sensitive to the problems that Hana encountered, told with positivity. I liked the fact that even though this is a romance novel it did tackle issues of racism without pity or stereotyping people.

Once again got into the book I read it very quickly, wanting to know how the story unfolds. I felt more interest in some of the characters, Hana’s aunt being a strong character, reading between the lines her story could be a book which I would be interested in reading.

Definitely one to read if you enjoy a love story that isn’t too heavy on romantic cliches.
