This was a really refreshing read and I really enjoyed reading a romance from a Muslim woman's perspective. Hana Khan Carries On focuses on a young Muslim woman who dreams of working in broadcasting. She also wants to help as much as she can with her family's struggling restaurant. A new restaurant is threatening to put the restaurant out of business and Hana struggles to get on with its owner.

I really enjoyed how this book felt light-hearted and funny, yet also highlighted some of the struggles of the lives of Muslims in Canada. Whilst the story was fairly predictable, it did a good job of highlighting serious things with well interspersed doses of humour and hope.

I would really recommend this book, and was constantly wanting to read 'just a bit more' to find out what was happening next. Having loved this book, I plan to hopefully keep up with the author's other books in the future.
