I really enjoyed this book. I thought this book had quite a Young Adult feel to it’s storyline and it was different enough to not just be your typical romance book.
The representation of south Asian Muslim culture is refreshingly accurate, which I consider very important in a book.
The ‘enemies to lovers’ story line is fairly predictable, however the fantastic writing and humour in this book allow me to look past the predictability and still thoroughly enjoy it. I also liked the incorporation of text messages and post cast extracts I the writing and the fast pace abs snappy chapters.
The characters are well developed and the family dynamics that were explored were interesting and well thought out. I particularly loved Rashid’s character!
I haven’t read any of this authors work previously, but I certainly will now! Definitely a five star book for me!
