Honestly, I don't think there are enough words to describe how much I loved this book but I'll try my best to describe it. First of all, seeing the multi-cultural representation was heart-warming and something much needed, the family dynamics were also hilarious and Hana Khan herself was a strong and inspiring female lead. Her character development through the book was extremely satisfying and her strength and determination to fight for what she believes in no matter the obstacles that stood in her way was great to see. It was also interesting to see how her family impacted her beliefs for example, her aunt inspiring her to be stronger, and the family dynamics in general were engaging and lighthearted.

I appreciated how instead of having the romance as the sole plot the book also addressed other important topics such as racism, islamophobia, and Hana and her family's journey. Of course, the romance was angsty, adorable and it was easy to grow more and more fond of Aydin (the male lead) as time went on. As a halal rivals-to-lovers involving family drama, delicious food and many plot twists, this book has certainly outdone itself.
