In my opinion, this book was not better than "Ayesha at last" (the author's debut novel). That's because I could not connect to either of the main leads. Hana was passionate about the radio life, while Aydin was more into restaurant business, neither of which spark any joy within me.

I connected more to Ayesha at Last, mainly because one of the main plots of that book was religious beliefs and I loved how the author dealt with a sensitive topic like that. The lack of connection with the characters of this book alone ruined the reading experience for me a little.

But having said all that, this book is, in no way, bad. This is just my personal opinion. In fact, if you feel like reading a light romcom that still deals with some heavy topics, than this book is a better choice.

π“Ÿπ“»π“Έπ“Ό: Deals really well with racism and Islamophobia that many Muslim immigrants (especially) face on the daily; discovers the importance of family history, pursuing your dreams and putting yourself first sometimes. Has a sweet romance, the writing is very fluid and the plot will keep you hooked till the very end. Also features a cute little Ayesha & Khalid cameo 😍

𝓒𝓸𝓷𝓼: The main plot was pretty predictable 😬
