It's got 'Grump' in the title - you know it's gonna be good!
In the blurb the line that caught my eye the most was - '...reflecting on the changes society has brought about...' because I love a bit of reflection
The cover would catch my eye in the bookshop for sure
Already in the first passage, I like this character - the fact he doesn't see fit to look through old photos (this is the opposite of my own inclination!) sets up the fact he is not sentimental at all but you just know by the end of the book he will be.
I really do look forward to reading about his transformation from grump to enlightened post-grump
