The front cover looks interesting. It makes me want to read it. You can just tell that the story is about an old man, as opposed to a middle aged man who feels old. I enjoyed the combination of illustration and the title below. The cover is what I find appealing. Unfortunately the more I read of the book the more disinterested I became. The start of the book made me sad, as it hit a little too close to home, care homes etc. I found that there was lots of seemingly unnecessary details. I found that because if this the book was a little slow. Due to its sad nature at the start and the fact it was slow to get into it is not my cup of tea. In my opinion this book takes lots of concentration and is not an easy read to begin with.
