It’s got potential

This book has potential but it isn’t what I’d normally read. The Grump visits his poorly wife in a care home, carefully avoiding any time for music and dancing, and plans his own demise. He wants to hand write a will and build a coffin, much to the despair of his son. However, after a fall and a stint in hospital, he starts to see things differently. His life passes before his eyes and he realises he needs to change how he is and how he interacts with people, especially his family.
Full of dark humour, this book is a wry reflection of life from an 80 year old man. It will leave you laughing and wanting more.
Not my favourite book and probably not something I’d read again but it has potential to be a feel good read.
