What a well written novel. The opening chapters are gripping and enjoyable, yet poignant and generally full of melancholy. The story itself feels like a final leg of a long journey. Nostalgic, yearning for closure, yet still feeling like we want to carry on on our travels.

The story is clearly deeply rooted in the Nordic school of storytelling. It's both, humorous and poingniantly mundane. The characters feel real and well fleshed out, and the narrative is descriptive, yet light and enjoyable. It's one of those comforting stories I associate with being read on the radio on a Thursday evening. Quite pacey, but allowing the reader to join the characters on their journey, wherever it may take them.

The emotional aspect of the story is exactly what we all need right now. It's s story about a passage of time. About regrets. About memories and where we came from. Will definitely purchase the full version of the book.
