I haven't read a thriller in a very long time as I've found a lot of them not gripping enough, so i read the sampler quite reluctantly as the cover isn't that appealing. I've been very pleasantly surprised and intrigued by the first chapter and it sounds like something gothic i will need over the Christmas period when everyone is trying to shove festive cheer down your throat.
