A bit flat
I was really looking forward to reading haven’t they grown but unfortunately it didn’t quite live up to expectations and fell a bit flat for me.
I found the book quite repetitive and very slow.
Even the characters felt pretty two dimensional, the children were annoying and I didn’t feel we got to know them enough which meant I wasn’t really too fussed about what happened.
I went into this book expecting mystery and for it to be full of shocking twists and turns. Although I hadn’t predicted all of the twists, I also didn’t find any of them shocking or particularly surprising, it was more just ‘oh right ok’.
The think I did enjoy about this book was the writing style, I thought the book was well written and it flowed well.
Overall I unfortunately wouldn’t be recommending this book, and I could really only give it a two star rating. Such a shame!
