This plot line is completely intriguing to me and very appealing.
The writing style is contemporary- about a modern day family who spend their weekends taxiing kids around and bickering (And swearing!) much like my own weekends, with 3 kids under 15 years old so it’s a life I can relate to. I also have friends that I’ve fallen out of touch with so the whole setting is very realistic.
But that’s where the similarities stop. On driving past her old friend‘s house she spots her friend with her two kids - who should be the same age as her own kids. Except they haven’t aged. Spooky. Is she a psychopath who can’t bear her children to grow up? Are they clones? It makes me want to read more. I imagine this is a real page turner.
