The story is written from Beth’s perspective. One day she is in the town she used to live in and with some time on her hands decides to drive to her old street. While there she stops to get a look at her former friend Flora who she hasn’t seen for 12 years. She spots her leaving her house and immediately I’m hooked when it appears that Flora’s 2 children look exactly the same as they did 12 years ago. They are the same children, Beth hears Flora call them by the same names but they haven’t aged at all. They are the same age that they were 12 years ago which is impossible.
I read this book in 2 sittings because I just couldn’t put it down. The storyline is intriguing and different. You get to learn snippets about the characters as the story goes on and I found myself trying to figure out what was going on but never quite managed.
A great thriller and a great read. Kept me guessing and guessing again till the end.
