This isn’t particularly a genre I spend a lot of time in, but even I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed delving in!
Firstly, I love the play on words in the title, this has to be acknowledged! The saying “haven’t they grown” being manipulated to pose a question rather than a statement. Love it, really sets the tone for the rest of the book.
I have a habit of guessing the ending before getting past the first chapter, hence I tend to stay away from this genre as I find them overly predictable. But. Not. This. One.
Sophie Hannah really has a talent for keeping her readers on their toes, second-guessing and snatching them in different directions. She is an excellent psycothriller writer and I hope she continues to write books like this one, pick it up!
