I will start this review on a positive note. I thought that it was a very fast paced easy read and the pages kept turning. I wanted to pick it up to see what was happening. I liked the characters and it was fun to read.
However I found the plot far fetched and unbelievable in parts. Some parts were bordering on farcical. I also found it very repetitive, especially in the middle. The story was centred around two friends Beth and Flora who lost touch twelve years ago. Beth then randomly spots Flora with her children who look the same now as they did then. It really became quite silly from there. Also there is an incident about racism that is just random and doesn't connect with the story.
Having said that I did want to know what happened and it did keep my attention.
