I was really keen to read this book as I was gripped after reading the first impression. Unfortunately I didn't win it so I got it out of the library. I am glad I did because it was a really good read. I was hooked right from the start, each chapter added a little bit to the mystery and I couldn't guess what the truth was going to be. There were some really good characters, I particularly liked Zannah. The writing style is really good. I was a little bit disappointed with the ending as it felt a bit rushed once the mystery was finally revealed and I didn't quite find it believable. I also didn't quite get the behaviour of Mr Cater and the nanny at the end/exactly what their role had been. I think just a bit more of an explanation of what had been going on would have made the book perfect.
