When I first read the blurb of 'Haven't They Grown', I thought it sounded intriguing and I couldn't wait to read it.

The book tells the story of Beth, who experiences a strange situation when she decides to visit her ex-best friend's house; she sees her old friend, Flora, for the first time in 12 years, but she also sees Flora talking to her two young children, Thomas and Emily. All sounds normal, except for the fact that Thomas and Emily are the same ages as they were 12 years ago.

Beth soon becomes obsessed with working out the mystery of the non-aging children, and what actually happened to her ex-best friend all those years ago.

I really enjoyed the first third of the book as the mystery of the children kept me intrigued. However, I soon began to lose interest as the twists seemed quite far-fetched. Nevertheless, it was still a fairly enjoyable read, and I'd still give another book by this author a go.
