Beth hasn't seen Flora Braid for twelve years but as she's driving her son to football she takes a wrong turn and ends up parked outside her house. Flora steps out the car with her Children but the children are the same age they were 12 years ago, why haven't they grown? So Beth takes it upon herself to investigate.

I am somewhat torn with this one. I couldn't put it down because I was determined to find out what happened however I found the protagonist unbearable as she made sporadic decisions which didn't make sense. This book is not what I was expecting which is why I think I didn't enjoy it as much - the synopsis sounded so promising but for me I just didn't get it. The plot was rather complicated and dragged out I found the whole scenario a bit far fetched, I know this sounds absurd as its a book of fiction but it you read it you'll understand. I really wanted to enjoy this book and I think it had a lot of promise and I dare say that a lot of readers will enjoy this book but unfortunately it was just a bit too contrived for me.
