I am a big fan of Sophie Hannah, both her standalone books and her Hercule Poirot series and she is known for her elaborate plots.
I was really excited about this book and loved the sound of it. Whilst I always find Sophie Hannah's writing style really easy to read, I have to admit to struggling with this book and I cannot quite put my finger on why.
Yes, the story is far-fetched and perhaps it was that, the seem unbelievability of the plot that I felt let down by, but this is not one of Sophie Hannah's books that I will be re reading, unfortunately.
I will still continue to be a fan of hers and continue to actively seek out her books, but I just felt that the plot of this was too ridiculous to be enjoyable.
