This book starts with a seemingly insoluble conundrum - how can two children not have aged during the time (over a decade) that the main character has not seen them? Of course it is not possible, but there they are, plain as day and still young children after all these years. It impossible to think of a plausible reason without resorting to witchcraft or magic... or so it seems. I loved this book: the great starting puzzle, the believable characters, and the strange and (just about) believable ending. I also liked the way that the main character spoke to her family about what she had seen early on rather than trying to solve the mystery herself. I thought this was a realistic approach. I even thought the title was great. I love this author, was delighted by this new book, and cannot find anything negative to say :)
