FULL of suspense!
Quick synopsis:
Beth hasn't seen Flora for 12 years, they used to be best friends but they have cut all communication. Tweleve years since they last saw each other, Beth decides to drive to Flora's house out of curiosity, and sees Flora return with her children. Beth sees that something is terribly wrong. Tweleve years ago Thomas and Emily were 5 and 3 years old, and today they look precisely as they did then... still 5 and 3.
What impressed me most about this story was the level of suspense throughout, I was hooked right from the beginning because I just couldn't understand how these children haven't grown up!
It was a super quick read and the mystery element kept me entertained throughout. I think a large part of why I enjoyed this one so much is because I had low expectations going into it.
I liked the character development throughout and felt the characters had a bit more depth to them than in some other thrillers.
I am a bit unsure what to make of the ending, but it didn't spoil my experience of the book, I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys mysteries and a family drama thriller!
