I’d not read a Sophie Hannah book in a few years having struggled to get into one after reading her others but I am now officially a fan again. Beth is sure she has just seen a friend from her past whose two children don’t appear to have aged at all in the twelve years since she last saw them. What followed had me questioning Beth’s sanity at points, and as the full story was revealed layer by layer I tore through the pages desperate to find out what was going on. This is a seriously cleverly crafted tale with an amazing ending and some simply brilliant characters (Zannah is fab). Loved it!
