After reading the blurb for this one, I was very intrigued and excited to read it! It sounds so mind boggling but that just made me want to read it even more!

Beth is driving her son to a football, when she realises that an old friend lives nearby. She decides to drive past the house for a nosey and sees her old friend Flora getting out of a car with her children, Thomas and Emily. Except...

There's something terribly wrong.
Flora looks the same, only older - just as Beth would have expected. It's the children that are the problem. Twelve years ago, Thomas and Emily Braid were five and three years old. Today, they look precisely as they did then. They are still five and three. They are Thomas and Emily without a doubt - Beth hears Flora call them by their names - but they haven't changed at all. They are no taller, no older. Why haven't they grown?

Right from the word go I was drawn in by this book and felt that it was paced just correctly - fast enough to keep you wanting to read but not overloading you all at once. The suspense is good and it keeps you wanting to read to the end.

The concept is pretty crazy and at times some bits were slightly unbelievable but I’ve given this 5 stars because never in a month of Sunday’s would I have ever predicted what would happen in this story! It is so twisty, full of secrets and conspiracies but that’s what makes you want to read.

Beth at times can be infuriating - she just won’t let things go and is not one to back down, but ultimately she has a kind heart and wants to do the best. Her daughter Zannah is a great character, and I really warmed to her throughout the book.

Well worth a read, whether it’s thriller or mystery that you like, and you certainly won’t be disappointed!
