Her Mother's Daughter had me originally very intrigued after reading the blurb and noticing that it was going to be from the perspectives of a mother and her ten year old daughter. I thought that the young girl's POV was realistic with the dialogue setting a good pace throughout the first few chapters.
Sadly, what let the sample down for me was the lack of visual settings and very little being revealed about either character. Overall, I was left feeling conflicted about whether this novel was right for me or not.
