My first impressions are it is an OK book. Didn't grab me as much as some others. I did however really feel for the little girl at the beginning of the story, how she is treated by the mother, and how she tries to be good so as not to feel the wrath from her mum. I guess having children of my own makes you feel for her. But then when you read on about how the mum was treated by her family you can see that history is repeating itself. Is it a book that I would buy? Not sure.
