From the cover, I'm not sure if it is Josephine and her Mother or Josephine and Clare. The cover really doesn't give anything away about the type of story. The first 30 pages are well written. There are implications that Josephine is not such a great mother, which may be linked to a past that needs explaining. Intrigued who Michael is in the prologue. I wouldn't necessarily pick this book up from the cover alone, but after reading the first impressions, then I'd definitely want to continue the story.
