It isn't that this was a bad book...it was more of its me not you kind of book.
I initially really liked the premise of this book but I just found it too uncomfortable to read since I'm getting the impression that the mother hits Clare. From what I have read, I did like the way Clare's part is written because I do feel she would tell rather than show and her narrative was believable.
From what I have read, the writing is okay but I don't feel uncomfortable reading this which is why I DNFed and I do think that some people might enjoy this but I don't tend to enjoy or read books like this and the way this book was written just made me really uncomfortable despite the fact that I was ONLY 13/14 pages in. I don't think I could have finished this. It was definitely not what I was expecting.
