This wasn't one that I was particularly desperate to read. The first look did interest me in the way it was written from two perspectives but it wasn't one I was really excited about. Her Mothers Daughter is so cleverly written one from the perspective of a mother from her childhood to becoming a mother herself and secondly from the perspective of Clare her daughter. The chapters go between both of these and the timeline of their stories eventually intertwine. A story that covers motherhood, emotion, difficult families, childhood and the after affects of rape. It is a must read and one that I will recommend. It is moving and one that makes you think. I would love to read more from the author.
