Lovely read
I really enjoyed this one!
I don't really read Historical Fiction, and therefore wasn't expecting too much from this one going into it! However, 'Her Mother's Daughter' was such a brilliant read!
I loved that this was told over two separate timelines, it felt like I was much closer to both characters through this choice and I really appreciated it! Overall, I did prefer Josephine's story and her characterization as I feel as though she had much more character growth and felt much more three-dimensional!
I will say the story was sad, and some of the discussion was heartbreaking but there were so many happy, joyous moments too! I really loved the happy moments and the sad ones affected me! I loved it!
