Her Mothers Daughter is a really good book, depicting the struggles of parenting for some people, and the ease of parenting for other. It also shows how dark secrets can hold people back, and that you really do not know how much people know about your dark and secretive past...
Josephine is a model character throughout the whole book. She cannot handle the stress of being a mother, but she does not want to express her feelings.
