I love the look and feel of this books cover and the blurb is good too. I should probably say before I continue that it does say for fans of Jodi Picoult and her books have been very much hit or miss with me.

I did like the way in which the story was told. The story switches between a young Claire and her obviously damaged mother. Starting in 1997 and travelling back to the 80’s with Josephine across two time periods. I also like the relationship between the siblings. Even though Claire acts to protect her younger brother she still finds her little brother irritating and the way the author gets this across is very good.

I just found that this book evoked no emotion in me, it also didn’t really seem to end, just trailed off and there was no happy or sad end to it.
