Having read the previous Bletchley Park book, I Spy, I found this follow-up continues the story of young Ned with great enthusiasm. The cover of the book brings back memories of steam train travel in the 1940s, I could almost smell the familiar mix of coal fire and steam!

As a boy, I lived in Wales with my grandmother who came from the Valleys and gave me knowledge of what people there had to endure during wartime.

This book likewise brings those times to life. Readers will immerse themselves deeply in this book and come out at the end having experienced a childhood both funny, sad, yet intriguing. Spies, drama, and lovely Welsh characters - what's more to like? There's nice!
