This seems like a childrens/middle grade book set during wartime. I really enjoy reading this type of book. I especially enjoy them when they involve evacuees or moving to a new area because you’re on the exploration of their new environment with them. I love the quick pacedness of this book and that fact Ned got away from his horrible dad in the beginning!
