This was another thrilling stroy in the Bletchley park mystery series.
In this one Ned and his mother have been given a mission away from Bletchley park.
They are told to travel to a quarry in the heart of Wales to a little village called Manod.
There they are tasked with taking care of and hiding famous works of art from destruction due to the war.
But as newcomers to the village they aren't really accepted.
Then when news leaks of what is really going on at the quarry they are accused of bringing danger to their home.
How can they possibly clear themselves?
Yet also transport an expensive painting London for a special showing.
Ned and his friends Harri and Anni swing into action to get it there in time.
This series is great, a mystery or thriller set during wartime and the story is cleverly crafted around not only certain real events but real people too.
In some ways educational but also a cracking good read.
