I have not read any of Rhian Tracey's books before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The book was really good and was a very enjoyable read. It starts off with a family from London and is set during World War II. The son, Ned, and his mum have been sent on a secret mission to a little village in Wales to help the National Gallery protect precious artifacts and paintings. When they get to Wales they are sent to live with a mother and son and a refugee that has been taken in. The son dislikes the refugee and Ned and tries to make his life hard and keeps on calling him English which infuriates Ned. The plot is really good and the boys end up helping each other, when Ned's mum goes missing, they end up on a mission of their own, ending up back in London to sort out the mystery. I was a little disappointed with the ending, as I feel it could have explained things a little better to give it a better end.
