Hide and Seek A Bletchley Park Mystery.
Firstly I really must mention the cover of this paperback.
It really is superb as it tells the story in the picture and says pick me up, it has raised parts which just say feel this texture, it makes you just want to look inside and read.
Part of any book for me is the joy of the actual physical appearance, it enhances the joy of the story.
It is a story aimed at the older child but as an oldie I really enjoyed it too. I would certainly buy this for my grandchildren.
It is a follow on from I Spy and covers secret war work in Wales in a remote village. The children and a guide dog are in an errand to take a picture to London while on the outlook for spies which seem to be at every turn.
An interesting event at Bletchley Park station is included in the historical notes by the author along with other facts that happened at the time.
Well worth a read for older children and oldies too.
