Different from what I expected
The first part of the title, “Hollywood Wants To Kill You”, would instantly grab any readers’ attention. I have to say that the cover is a bit unusual, but interesting nonetheless.
I got the impression that this book would be ‘fun’ and mostly about movies. When I read the first impression, I was surprised. Although this book focused on movies (first one being Contagion), the authors go really in depth with the science behind these horrific causes of death.
I really loved the science included in this. However, I wish that it was a tiny bit simplified or at least some of the scientific terms to be explained.
Other than that, this was a great book and I definitely would want to read more (as it is also educational). Also got me feeling slightly paranoid about public transport and touching my face.
