Mixed Feelings So Far

This isn't the type of book that I'd usually pick up but I decided to give it a try and see what it was like. So far my feelings towards this book are rather mixed. The writing flows well and is quite engaging; it made me smile in places and looks as though it will have bits of humour dotted throughout. I loved the introduction section and how unexpected it was. There's a lot of information shared within it which can get a little more in depth with the science side of things than I expected but it's still quite easy to follow for the most part. The references to real life events are interesting, it's just that some of the cell information was a bit more in depth than I'd anticipated. There was also less mention of the movies that contained viruses than I expected but I liked the little conversations that were thrown into the mix. So overall my feelings are definitely mixed at the moment but I'm still rather intrigued. Some of the later chapters - such as predators, climate change, insomnia and plants - are ones that I'd be particularly curious about.
