Interesting start
First look extract - this extract provides an interesting take on the subject of death by exploring science and movies. This extract is funny and enchanting. It is thought provoking as it suggests that many things occur around us that are out of our control that can lead to death - so perhaps we should live life to the fullest.
The authors explain scientific notions and concepts in a way that makes sense and that sparks interest without being boring.
I like the conversation text speech things - nice engaging way to break things up.
Overall I think this would be an interesting read and I’m intrigued to read the following chapters. Even though I read a chapter I’ve learnt many interesting things about viruses and pandemics (very useful insight gaining especially since we are in the middle of a global pandemic) - and have enjoyed doing so!
