Unexpectedly good
This book written by Rick Edwards, television presenter and Dr Michael Brooks, journalist.
Both have a scientific and writing background and have produced a well written funny witty book.
It takes the most common Hollywood disaster movie subjects and irreverently takes popular films to delve into the science behind how each variety of disaster interacts with mankind and the facts behind it.
I would never have given this book a second look so I am most grateful to Readersfirst in giving me an advance copy to review. I read it with enjoyment and it made me chuckle as I read. I do not hesitate to recommend this book to a far wider audience than would probably read this as it does not fit into any popular genre.
