Very Interesting and Fun Read, Despite the Subject Matter
This was such an interesting book. It is informative, and deals with a serious topic, but in a humorous and witty way.
It covers a lot of common Hollywood death scenarios and translates them into real life scenarios - could an asteroid like the one in Armageddon hit Earth? Could we stop it like they did in the movie, or would there be another way of stopping it?
The book also covers a number of topics like this, and I found all of it very interesting. Yes, it's popular science, but for the average person it gives information you may not have known about, and is a starting point to explore a number of different topics. The chapter on plants fascinated me, as I didn't know a lot of the information about plants that they covered here.
Overall, I'd really recommend this. I'm now tempted to get their other book, as I enjoy their writing style so much.
