I really enjoyed the prologue; so dramatic and current - clearly this book has modern issues at heart. But then it lost me. It became a list of characters and lost the drama. I skimmed over the rest, and I think it’ll be a combination of fascinating moments but with slogs you just have to get to in between. I’m sure it would be a good read if I had the patience for that.

The cover definitely personifies the idea of a broken home.
