I don't think I've read anything by Susan Lewis before but Home Truths sounds great! The dramatic opening had me gripped and, straightaway, I was fearing the worst for Steve as he angrily went on the hunt for his son, Liam.

I'm curious to find out more about the lovely, kind Angie and her sister, Emma, and their work at Bridging the Gap. Hill Lodge and Hope House sound rather intense and volatile, possibly dangerous places, and I wonder about some of the residents and whether they can be trusted. The mix of ages sounds like a recipe for problems. Curious to know how it all relates to the story.

The opening chapter also mentions a memory of Angie's son, Liam, and it's sobering to think about how things turn out and how his bad choices ended up affecting the family. Poor Angie has had a torrid time and it sounds like she's really struggling and everything is conspiring against her. I'm hopeful that she will be strong and keep the rest of the family together though.

I like the striking blue cover with the smashed plate, especially the piece that's split further away from the rest, possibly referring to Liam?

I would love to read this one and discover more about what happens to the Watts family. It sounds an emotional read.
