I found the start of this book extremely shocking. The graphic description of Steve's murder was very unsettling. It gave me a strange feeling and I had to sit and let it sink in for a while.
However, I liked the rest of the book. I felt sorry for the poor family. They were only just coping, with no money and huge debts. It was very well written and I am interested how the story would progress.
