This was the first Susan Lewis book I've ever read. I will admit she's not an author I would have personally chosen as I think her target audience is for a slightly older age range than myself. The cover was interesting but again aimed at an older age range and so I wouldn't have chosen this book based on the cover alone.

It's heartbreaking to read how quickly the family situation deteriorates, we start off with an idyllic family life which spirals out of control so soon. There were many twists and drama in this entire story. I was hooked from beginning to end.
