Read this over the Christmas and enjoyed it although I thought that it was too long for the content / story involved. Angie is struggling to recover from the murder of her husband as he went searching for their son Liam who had got caught up in the local drug scene. After the husband’s death Angie slowly slips into debt and loses her house and her life starts to collapse in a haze of bills and mistakes. Her teenage daughter then gets involved in something very dodgy which is a very traumatic read. Angie then meets someone and her life suddenly takes an upward turn. I thought that the book could have focused more on the son Liam and his journey into the drug scene. Have read a couple of Susan Lewis books and would recommend this book.
