Home Truths starts with a really brutal and tragic act what definitely caught my attention, and what followed didn't fail to make me turning the pages until the very end while sitting on the edge of the chair.
The novel talks about some heavy subjects, such as drug use, homelessness, trafficking, and keeping a family together at all costs, and it's still an easy read. I finished it in two days, despite of its length and I'm a very slow reader.
It was easy to like and emphasize with Angie, the main character, and the other characters are likeable and well-written too.
The only thing I didn't like (and don't like in any novels in general) that there were too many pop cultural references but apart from this I can only recommend it to everyone who is looking for a good suspense read.
