I loved this book. I have never read any Susan Lewis books before but definitely will again. This book grabs you from the start
The story is about Angie watts who had a husband called Steve and 3 children. Liam the eldest gets into trouble with the wrong crowd. Her husband Steve goes looking for Liam and ends up dead. She blames Liam for his father's death and throws him out.
The Family struggle without Steve's wages and Angie never let's on how bad things are getting until things take a turn for the worse and they get evicted and she has so much debt they are sinking fast. But going through the story watching how things change so quickly from really bad to not so bad to bad again really grabs at your heart it's heartwrenching hearing how bad things get and so quickly for Angie her daughter Grace and son Zach never mind not knowing where Liam is or if he is even still alive. At times you could cry with her and her sister Emma and her 2 children who try to help her out as much as possible.
A really heart stopping tale with lots of twists and drama. A really good read.
