Unfortunately I gave up half way through this one.
I found the story to be dragging it's heels getting into any kind of action, also I wasn't keen on where the story was heading with the daughter. There were suggestions that she might end up getting into a bit of a sticky situation, all for money!
The half I did read was OK at best. Like I said before, the plot took a while to get anywhere. It felt like the author was potentially saving all the juicy stuff for the very end, however in the meantime was bloating out the chapters with a general story line.
I was really hoping for better things, as the initial first impressions hinted that this was going to be a good read.
The "Home Truth" for me is that this book hasn't lived up to expectations.
